Welcoming Ayers Psychiatry to Our Roswell Office

At Atlanta Wellness Collective, we have always believed that great mental health care happens when professionals work together.

That's why we're excited to announce that beginning in July 2026, Ayers Psychiatry will be partnering with our Roswell office to provide psychiatric services for adults throughout Georgia.

As our practice has grown, one of the most common requests we hear from clients and referral sources is the need for trusted psychiatric care that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and relationship-centered. We are thrilled to welcome Nolan Ayers, MD, to our community and expand the resources available to those seeking comprehensive mental health support.

Meet Nolan Ayers, MD

Dr. Nolan Ayers is a psychiatrist originally from Atlanta who completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia before pursuing psychiatry residency training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, one of the most respected medical institutions in the world. He recently served as Chief Psychiatry Resident and is returning home to Georgia to launch Ayers Psychiatry.

Through Ayers Psychiatry, Dr. Ayers provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults, with a focus on understanding the whole person, not simply treating symptoms. His approach combines evidence-based psychiatric care with careful attention to lifestyle factors, relationships, values, purpose, sleep, nutrition, and overall well-being.

A Shared Philosophy of Care

One of the reasons we are so excited about this collaboration is the alignment between our practices.

At Atlanta Wellness Collective, we believe that healing is rarely one-dimensional. Effective mental health treatment often requires a collaborative approach that considers biological, psychological, relational, and environmental factors.

Dr. Ayers shares a similar philosophy. His practice emphasizes careful psychiatric evaluation, collaborative treatment planning, and taking the time to fully understand each person's story before making recommendations. Rather than focusing solely on medication, he works with patients to develop a comprehensive understanding of their mental health and treatment options.

What Services Will Be Available?

Ayers Psychiatry will provide services for adults across Georgia, including:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations

  • Medication management

  • Diagnostic clarification

  • Treatment planning and consultation

  • Ongoing psychiatric care

Services will be available through telehealth across Georgia, with in-person availability through our Roswell location. No referral is required.

Why Collaboration Matters

Research consistently shows that clients often experience the best outcomes when therapists, psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare providers communicate and collaborate effectively.

While Atlanta Wellness Collective and Ayers Psychiatry remain separate practices, our shared location creates opportunities for coordinated care when clients desire and provide appropriate consent. This can help reduce barriers, improve communication among providers, and create a more seamless treatment experience.

Our goal has always been to connect individuals and families with the right care at the right time. We believe this partnership helps us continue that mission.

A Personal Note from Dr. Nicole Thaxton

As both a Licensed Professional Counselor and practice owner, I'm incredibly thoughtful about who we invite into our community and who we recommend to our clients, providers, and referral partners.

Mental healthcare is deeply personal. When someone reaches out for support, they're often doing so during one of the most vulnerable seasons of their life. Because of that, trust matters.

I've had the privilege of watching Dr. Nolan Ayers grow into the physician and psychiatrist he is today. What stands out most is not simply his training or expertise—though both are exceptional—but his genuine care for people. He approaches mental health with humility, curiosity, compassion, and a desire to truly understand the individuals he serves.

One of the things I appreciate most about Dr. Ayers is that he sees people as more than a diagnosis. He takes time to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and develop treatment plans that are personalized rather than one-size-fits-all. His approach aligns beautifully with the values we hold at Atlanta Wellness Collective: treating the whole person and creating a safe, supportive environment for healing and growth.

Whether you're already working with one of our providers or are simply looking for psychiatric care in the Roswell/North-Atlanta area, I am confident that you will find Dr. Ayers to be a trusted and compassionate partner in your mental health journey.

We're honored to welcome Ayers Psychiatry to our Roswell office and excited about what this collaboration means for our community.

Warmly,

Nicole Thaxton, PhD, LPC, CPCS
