Lauren Ionta is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity development, and the emotional challenges that come with growing up in today’s world. She works especially well with clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or unsure of how to move forward, and with parents who want support for their child but aren’t always sure where to begin.

Lauren creates a warm, steady, and welcoming space where clients can feel safe enough to open up, be understood, and begin making sense of their experiences. She believes that meaningful healing happens through a collaborative relationship—one where clients feel both supported and empowered to grow. With a calm and compassionate presence, Lauren helps clients build self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and develop confidence as they move through each stage of life.

Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, obsessive-compulsive (OCD) tendencies, eating disorders, and the complexities of adolescence and early adulthood. Whether working with a child learning to express big emotions, a teen navigating identity and peer relationships, or a young adult facing life transitions, Lauren meets each client with empathy, curiosity, and deep respect for their story.

Lauren is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of North Georgia. Outside of counseling, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their dog, and friends, running when the weather is just right, creative writing, and getting lost in a good book.

At Atlanta Wellness Collective, our Counseling Interns are closely supervised by an in-house Clinical Supervisor, which means you benefit from having multiple clinicians contributing their expertise and care to your treatment. Lauren is currently under the supervision of RJ Thaxton, LPC, CPCS. Counseling Interns also offer sessions at a significantly reduced rate.

A note from Lauren —

I believe you deserve a space where you can be fully seen, heard, and supported—without pressure to have it all figured out. Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or simply navigating a season of change, you don’t have to do it alone. My hope is that, together, we can help you feel more confident, more grounded, and more like yourself again. It would be an honor to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing and growth.
