Get to Know Ansley Brague
How did I get into this career?
I’ve always been a curious person and drawn to relational work. When I began my career in the public school system, my desire to help individuals uncover root issues and struggles only deepened. My time in schools has significantly shaped how I view the role of adults in children's lives and the importance of having a consistent and positive support system. From working in a primary school to joining the team at Atlanta Wellness, my desire to meet people with warmth, empathy, and openness has remained constant.
What is my favorite thing about counseling?
Counseling is meaningful to me because I know I don’t have all the answers—and I believe that’s a good thing. Some of the most powerful growth comes when individuals and families arrive at their own insights. It’s an honor to use the skills, training, and experience I’ve gained to walk alongside clients as they explore their experiences and move toward growth and healing. Being able to offer a space where clients can build tools to face hard things and make sense of the difficult is truly a gift.
What do I like to do when I'm not at Atlanta Wellness Collective?
On a free day, you’ll find me cooking for my family, spending time outside, reading, or catching up with a friend or two.
What do I hope for my clients?
I hope my clients experience a sense of safety and freedom throughout the counseling process. Growth doesn’t usually happen overnight, but my goal is to provide holistic care that creates space for healing over time. I also hope to support parents and guardians as they care for their children—and to be a steady, compassionate presence for every client I meet.
