Get to Know Alex Kelley
How did I get into this career?
I started college as a nursing major, but quickly found myself drawn to psychology. I was fascinated by how the mind works and how our experiences shape who we are. After graduating, I worked in sales, which taught me about communication, resilience, and understanding people. Still, I found myself craving a deeper sense of purpose in my work. That desire led me to pursue graduate school and fully step into the field of counseling. My experiences continue to shape the way I show up in this work.
What is my favorite thing about counseling?
What I love most about counseling is learning about my clients and being part of their journey. Every client carries something unique — experiences, perspectives, and inner resilience — and I find it a privilege to share space with my clients as they explore those parts of themselves. Being invited into the healing process is incredibly meaningful to me.
What do I like to do when I'm not at Atlanta Wellness Collective?
Outside of work, I have an ever-growing list of hobbies. Currently, it’s pottery, Pilates, and binge-watching Ted Lasso with my husband. I love anything that helps me recharge, be creative, or laugh really hard.
What do I hope for my clients?
I hope my clients feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout our work together. I want them to experience growth and healing in a way that feels authentic, and to know that they don’t have to go through it alone. More than anything, I hope they walk away with a stronger sense of who they are and what’s possible for them.
