Dr. Nicole Thaxton is the founder of Atlanta Wellness Collective and a respected leader in the field of counseling, clinical supervision, and counselor education. As a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), she is deeply committed to shaping the next generation of ethical, effective mental health professionals. At Atlanta Wellness Collective, Dr. Nicole provides clinical supervision for licensure, professional consultation, and oversight to clinicians and supervisors at various stages in their development. She also facilitates peer supervision groups and mentors clinical supervisors across Georgia.

With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, Dr. Nicole has counseled high-achieving entrepreneurs, teens and students, educators, parents, and professionals. Her work has focused on the unique challenges faced by these individuals, including anxiety, perfectionism, stress, grief, and life transitions.

A passionate educator, Dr. Nicole is a frequent keynote speaker and continuing education presenter on topics including clinical supervision, ethics, high-functioning anxiety, and leadership in mental health. She partners with The Knowledge Tree to teach Georgia’s required 30-hour CPCS certification course, equipping aspiring clinical supervisors both locally and nationwide.

Beyond the realm of counseling, her voice has been featured on podcasts and stages across the country, where she speaks to diverse audiences—from mental health professionals and business leaders to educators, churches, and parent groups. Her online blog and email newsletter, The Anxious Achievers Club, provide helpful tools and encouragement to thousands of weekly readers.

Dr. Nicole holds a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Mercer University, a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University (with certificates in Trauma and Child & Adolescent Counseling), and a BS in Psychology from the University of Georgia. She lives in Marietta, Georgia, with her husband and three daughters.
