Lauren Aguon works with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating the impact of trauma, life transitions, and relationship stressors that can leave them feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of themselves. Many of the clients Lauren supports come to therapy feeling ungrounded, carrying emotional weight from past experiences, or noticing that stress and unresolved trauma are affecting their relationships, sense of purpose, and overall joy. She is especially drawn to helping people make sense of these experiences, strengthen connection, and move toward healing with greater clarity and compassion.

Lauren is deeply passionate about working with individuals, spouses, couples, and families affected by military service and trauma. Having experienced the realities of military life firsthand through her marriage to a veteran, she brings a nuanced understanding of the emotional toll that service, deployments, reintegration, and the stress of military family life can take. She is especially dedicated to supporting military couples and families as they navigate challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, trauma, reintegration after deployments, and the often complicated dynamics between service members and their loved ones.

With specialized training in trauma-informed therapy, Lauren provides a safe, supportive space where healing is possible. She incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD (CBCT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), alongside mindfulness and self-compassion practices, to help clients process difficult emotions, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping.

Lauren’s goal is to help clients reclaim their sense of self, restore connection in their relationships, and find steadiness amid the transitions and challenges of life—honoring their experiences while building a path forward that feels grounded, meaningful, and sustainable.

Lauren holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and is licensed as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) under supervision and direction. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with family, exploring the outdoors, reading, and practicing yoga.
