Whether you’re navigating the demands of motherhood, a difficult family transition, challenges with your child, or patterns from your own past, Katie Paro is passionate about helping clients find greater healing, connection, and balance.

Katie works with women and men, parents, children (ages 3+), teens, and families. She has particular expertise supporting clients through parenting challenges, anxiety, trauma, grief, separation and divorce, co-parenting, remarriage, and blended-family dynamics. Katie has a special passion for helping mothers care for themselves while caring for their families, including women who want to heal from their own childhood experiences and break unhealthy generational patterns.

Her extensive experience working with children and families also gives Katie a valuable perspective when counseling parents. She helps parents better understand their child’s emotions and behavior, strengthen connection, establish healthy boundaries, and navigate challenging family dynamics with greater confidence.

Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia with experience across behavioral health, private practice, and school settings. She has extensive training in trauma-informed care, play therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Child-Parent Relationship Therapy, and advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Outside of the office, Katie enjoys spending time with her partner, daughter, stepdaughters, dogs, and extended family. She recharges through running, hiking, nature, football, a good book, and a cup of coffee.
